Anoop Parikh is an independent marketing copywriter and strategist who works with clients and agencies to produce high impact brand concepts and communications.

He began his career as a journalist for publications such as The Face, i-D, The Guardian and The Observer.

This led to his appointment as Interiors Editor of Cosmopolitan, and work as a writer for other leading titles, including Elle Decoration, The Sunday Times, The Daily Telegraph and The New York Times.

Through senior creative and account directing roles at Omnicom and Publicis agencies, he acquired an in-depth understanding of brand and content strategy. Clients included Wal-Mart, JC Penney, Kraft Foods, Nestlé, and General Motors.

He has also worked client-side on brand development projects for leading names in retail and the diamond industry. These include Homebase, Daniel K, a US fine jewellery brand. And DDM, a manufacturer of top quality diamonds.

Recent projects include: communications planning for Creative Creatures, a ground-breaking capability framework, brand strategy for Indian food manufacturer Mrs. Bector’s Cremica, and publishing consultancy for Rosebys, an Indian home fashion retailer.

His writing can also be found in four books on interior decoration, including the best-selling Making the Most of Small Spaces and The Book of Home Design using IKEA Home Furnishings.

His interests outside work include food history, contemporary Indian art, tennis and cycling.
